EVV Streaks are a recognition feature designed to help agencies encourage consistent Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) compliance while keeping caregivers engaged and motivated.
With EVV Streaks, caregivers earn rewards by completing multiple EVV-compliant visits in a row, reinforcing good habits around clocking in, clocking out, and visit duration.
Why EVV Streaks Exist
EVV Streaks were introduced to help agencies:
Improve EVV compliance
Caregivers are incentivized to complete visits correctly and within agency rules.Increase caregiver engagement
Ongoing rewards encourage regular interaction with the Caribou app.Reduce administrative follow-up
Clear goals and expectations help limit manual reminders and corrections.Support caregiver retention
Consistent recognition helps caregivers feel valued and motivated.
How EVV Streaks Work
Caregivers see EVV Streak goals directly in their Caribou app.
Default streak levels
EVV Streaks are based on fixed milestones, such as:
1 EVV
3 EVVs
10 EVVs
After completing the 10-EVV streak, caregivers continue earning rewards for every additional set of 10 compliant visits.
What happens if a streak breaks?
If a caregiver misses EVV or does not meet your agency’s EVV rules:
The current streak ends
A new goal at the same streak level appears
For example, if a caregiver breaks a 3-EVV streak, they will receive another 3-EVV goal (they do not reset back to 1).
Rewards & Recognition
Admins can configure rewards for each EVV streak milestone to match their recognition program.
Available reward types include:
Recognition points
Draw tickets
A combination of both
Example reward setup
1 EVV → 50 points + 1 ticket
3 EVVs → 100 points + 3 tickets
10 EVVs → 300 points + 5 tickets
Rewards can vary by agency, but the core principle stays the same: consistent EVV behavior earns more recognition.
Caregiver Experience
From a caregiver’s perspective:
EVV Streak goals appear automatically after their first login
Progress updates automatically as visits are completed
Clear in-app guidance explains what counts toward a streak (timing, duration, EVV method)
If a streak is broken, a new goal at the same level appears so they can try again
Tip: Agencies see the best results when EVV Streaks are introduced during onboarding or team meetings, so caregivers understand the program upfront.
EVV Streaks turn everyday EVV compliance into a simple, repeatable, and rewarding habit. By recognizing consistent behavior instead of one-off actions, agencies can improve EVV accuracy, reduce follow-ups, and keep caregivers engaged over time.
