What this feature is
Billable Hours Goals help agencies increase weekly billable hours by encouraging part-time caregivers to pick up a few additional shifts in exchange for a reward.
Caregivers who are working below a weekly hours threshold are offered a clear goal. When they reach that goal, they earn points or tickets.
Why you’d use this
- Increase billable hours in a targeted way
- Improve shift coverage using caregivers already on your team
- Incentivize part-time caregivers without adding manual work
How it works
1. Caregivers receive a weekly goal
Eligible caregivers see a weekly goal in the app based on their recent average hours worked.
Goals:
- Reset every Monday
- Run for 7 days
- Are tailored to caregivers working below specific hour thresholds
2. Caregivers opt in
To participate, caregivers must tap “I’m interested” on the goal.
Once opted in:
- A progress bar shows their hours worked for the week
- Any eligible hours worked that week count toward the goal
3. Hours are tracked automatically
- Progress updates as visits are completed
- EVV rules apply if your agency has enabled them
- Only confirmed visits count toward the goal
4. Rewards are issued
When the caregiver reaches their goal:
- The reward is issued after visits are confirmed
- Depending on agency settings, this may take up to 14 days
Who receives a goal
Caregivers are selected based on:
- Their average weekly hours worked
- Agency-defined thresholds and targets
Each caregiver is assigned to one goal at a time, based on what best fits their recent work pattern.
Important things to know
- Caregivers must tap “I’m interested” each week to be eligible
- Goals repeat weekly until the caregiver’s average hours meet or exceed the target
- Deactivated caregivers will not receive goals
- If a caregiver is reactivated and has recent hours, they may receive a goal again
Caregiver communication
- Caregivers receive an introduction email when goals are enabled
- Reminder emails are sent every two weeks
