How do I see my colleagues' shifts alongside mine?
You can also use the Coordinator filter to select specific colleagues and view their open shifts. If you are covering for someone, you can temporarily connect their account.
What does Temporary vs Permanent shift mean?
A shift is marked as Permanent if the case does not have a caregiver assigned in the master week.
If a caregiver is already assigned to the case in the master week, the open shifts for that client will be marked as Temporary.
This distinction helps you quickly understand whether a shift is part of an ongoing, unfilled need or coverage for an existing assignment.
Can caregivers be assigned permanently in "master week"?
No. Coordinators cannot assign a caregiver permanently in Caribou. Permanent assignments must be done in HHAeXchange.
How do I know which shift the caregiver is looking at?
Caregiver activity is tied to a specific Shift ID. When a caregiver responds to a message or reaches out, their activity is associated with the exact shift they were viewing or responding to in the system.
To see which shifts a caregiver has viewed:
- Go to the Shifts->Activity Log.
- Search for the caregiver’s name.
- Check the Viewed At column to see which shifts the caregiver has viewed and when.
This allows you to track engagement at the individual shift level.
How can coordinators see which shifts caregivers have requested?
Caregivers who request a shift will appear in the Engagement area on the Shift detail page in the Admin dashboard. The dashboard shows all the caregivers that have expressed interest. Below you will see other caregivers that may be a good fit for you to reach out to.
