What do caregivers see when asked to follow up after assignment? What happens after I assign a caregiver to a shift?
Caregivers receive a notification via SMS and email with shift details and a prompt to confirm. They see:
- Shift date, time, and location
- A link to confirm the assignment
For additional patient details, caregivers are prompted to log in to the HHAeXchange app or contact the coordinator directly.
What do caregivers see on the app in Caribou when viewing shifts?
Caregivers see:
- Client location (city/zipcode in populated areas, limited in areas under 20K population)
- Shift date, time, and duration
- Distance from their home (based on their preferred transportation)Patient preferences such as languages, pets, special care needs like bedbound
- Whether it's a permanent or temporary shift opportunity
- Shift reward points (gold coin icon) if applicable
How can caregivers find the Caribou link and access the shifts page?
If a caregiver needs help accessing Caribou, you can look for a Paper Airplane icon to send a link to the employee for them to sign in.
You can see the list of Employees in the Employee page and look for the Paper Airplane icon.
- Search for the caregiver's name in the Employees section
- Find and click the paper airplane icon next to their name
- A link will be texted to the caregiver
- The caregiver clicks the link to access the Caribou web app
- Once logged in, they'll see a Shifts menu item at the bottom
- Clicking Shifts shows all available shifts they can submit interest for
Caregivers can also access Caribou through links sent in shift notification SMS messages and emails.
How can caregivers see their points?
Caregivers can track earned rewards in their Past Activity tab. They also receive notifications when points are automatically added to their account after completing rewarded shifts.
