EVV Streak Savers: Keep Your Streak Alive

Overview

When employees are working towards a 10x clock in/out goal for their EVV Streaks, sometimes there are reasons for why an employee cannot clock in/out on time for reasons outside of their control. Streak Savers protect an employee's clock in/out streak so that employees don't lose all of their progress and can keep working towards their streak.

Before you start

  • Streak Savers are only available on the 10x clock in/out goal on EVV streaks
  • When an employee completes or restarts a goal, they get a fresh set and they are not carried over
  • A Streak Saver only prevents the streak from resetting. The missed visit does not count toward the streak

 

How Streak Savers work

  1. The agency must have Streak Savers configured for the 10x goal.
  2. An employee is on an EVV streak goal of 10x clock in/outs in a row.
  3. An employee misses a clock in or clock out for a visit.
  4. The system automatically applies one of their Streak Savers if the employee has one available.
  5. Employee does not lose their progress towards their streak
  6. The employee receives a notification letting them know a Streak Saver was used.

A Streak Saver only prevents the streak from resetting. The missed visit does not count toward the streak.

If an employee has no Streak Savers remaining, their streak will reset when they miss a clock event. 

Streak Savers do not carry forward to the next goal.

 

How employees check their Streak Saver balance

Employees can view their Streak Saver balance in the Caribou Rewards app:

  1. Open the Caribou Rewards app.
  2. Tap on the EVV goal card.
  3. The Streak Saver balance appears on the EVV details page.

 

Configuring Streak Savers

  1. You can set the number of Streak Savers per 10x clock in/out goal in your Rewards configuration:
  2. Go to Rewards Configuration in the admin portal.
  3. Navigate to the Performance section
  4. Go to Clock in/out streaks
  5. Find the Streak Saver Count setting.
  6. Enter the number of Streak Savers per goal (up to 10).
  7. Select Save.

You can set it anywhere from 0 to 10 Streak Savers per 10x clock in/out goal. 

If you edit the number of Streak Savers, it will be applied to the employees’ next 10x goal, not their existing one.

Good to know

  • Streak Savers apply automatically — no action required from employees or admins.
  • Streak Savers only apply to the 10x clock in/out goal. The 1x and 3x goals do not have Streak Savers.
  • If an employee uses all their Streak Savers for a goal, any additional missed clock events will reset their streak.
  • Unused Streak Savers do not carry over to the next goal — each goal starts with a fresh set.
  • A Streak Saver only prevents the streak from resetting. The missed visit does not count toward the streak.
